IT Business Development/Sales Apprentice
Location: Rugby, UK (Office & Home-Based)
Expected start date: ASAP
Eligibility: In order to qualify for this Apprenticeship Scheme, we would prefer for you to enrol onto Level 3 IT Technical Sales Apprenticeship Programme - 21 months fixed term
About the Role
Do you have an interest in sales and technology? Want to combine the two and earn while you learn? If you are an enthusiastic individual with previous experience in a sales or retail environment, we are looking for you to become a part of this team.
In this role you'll be learning our industry sector, learn our business and products. By understanding the Open Source philosophy, getting under the skin of our business, learning the business language and why OpusVL exists will further support you in helping OpusVL in terms of generating sales.
To achieve this, you will have the opportunity to work along side our Business Development Manager.
The chosen candidate will have opportunities to learn new skills and grow the role over time, with the support and mentoring from Business Development and Marketing from time to time.
We're looking for a positive individual who is passionate about growing the business. It would be great if you are: sales + highly motivated to build a client base and even generate sales + positive 'can do' attitude and a positive mind-set to achieving targets + ability to build external relationships with potential new clients from the onset + matrix working internally with various departments, working as one team to support growth + dealing with inbound and outbound calls + sending emails to customers and other clients + speaking to customers on the phone and providing a good level of service + following up on potential customers
Nice to have
A nice to have, but not essential would be to have previous sales training with some exposure to business development sales.
