About OpusVL

At OpusVL we develop and customise open source business management software.

We’re a multi-disciplined team of developers, people-people, and project management experts. We specialise in helping organisations who find that an 'off the shelf' ERP system doesn't meet their needs, by designing and developing a customised solution that fits.

OK, so that's what we do technically - but at the heart of it is a desire to solve business problems and deliver lasting value. Technology is just a tool to achieve this goal.

About The Role

At OpusVL, we are now seeking a Technical Writer to create project documentation, technical articles, software user manuals, and training material.

You'll also assist with developing marketing materials for our website and social media.

The objective is to write "human friendly" documents - articulating technical concepts in a way that others can understand.

Working with subject matter experts, you will organise information, draw out detail, and build a narrative.

About you

You take a collaborative approach and enjoy working with people.

You understand technical concepts, and can "drill down" to get into detail when required.

You're organised (because you have a system).

You have an ability to understand how a particular concept will impact the reader and can put together a narrative to explain.

You can write with different reader personas in mind, focusing on their different needs.

Nice to haves

It would be great (but not essential) if you have any of the following skills:

  • Software industry experience
  • Software testing
