Russell Boardman

Russell spent 35 years as International Finance Controller and General Manager of both large multi-national manufacturing and pan-European electronic distribution companies in the UK and France. He has particular “hands on” knowledge of this industry sector.

His extensive knowledge of International Financial Management gained whilst at I.T.T. Components Group Europe (several years based in France) enabled his development into Corporate Finance.

Since 1999, Russell’s time has been employed in Corporate Finance where he has been International Corporate Finance Partner with a large firm of Chartered Accountants.

Russell has achieved many successful Transactions including several M.B.O.’s and Corporate Acquisitions on behalf of clients.

His experience in raising business finance has helped develop investment for a range of UK Companies. Now retired from full time working, Russell provides a leading role as Chairman of Opus Vision Limited.

Don Phillips

Don brings a significant amount of experience from his 20-year career at Hewlett-Packard during which he was a 'technical systems' Salesman, Sales Manager, Client Business Manager and Technical Workstation Marketing Manager. This was when HP built its Unix/Open Systems business into a world leader. He then spent the last five years as an HP Operations Director culminating in playing a leading role in integrating Compaq Computers into HP at an EMEA level.

Since then he as worked freelance in his own company Lloyd-Davies Associates involved in helping resellers, distributors and software companies develop their businesses to sustainability.

Gary Lumby

Gary was until 2011, UK Director of SME Banking at Yorkshire and Clydesdale Banks and also held the roles of Head of Retail Banking and Head of Business Banking for Yorkshire Bank

Gary is a Non-Executive Director at a large number of SME’s across the UK ( 30 ),were he advises the Management on Growth Strategy, Business Development, Marketing , HR, Risk Management, Finance, M&A’s and Corporate Governance.

Clients range in size from £150k to £45m turnover and 5 to 250 employees

Gary is a Growth Expert on the Goldman Sachs 10000 Small Business Programme run by Said Business School ( Oxford University) and sits on the Investment Panel for the Tees Valley Business Grant Programme.

Gary was awarded an MBE for Services to the Finance Industry in the 2008 New Years Honours List and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Scotland.
